Work With Me - Barbie Andrews

Hello! I’m Barbie Andrews. I’m a digital media producer serving the metro Atlanta area and beyond. Over the years, I’ve acquired an eclectic collection of skills and carved out a unique place for myself in the photography and digital media world. I started out managing my husband’s recording studio in the late 2000s, a job which evolved into producing photo shoots for dozens of independent recording artists. I’ve had the pleasure of working with artists like Von Grey, DayShawnx, Michael Zaib, and have worked with other photographers, directors, and designers to create digital and print media for several album releases. I shoot a variety of photo and video projects for artists and even help my clients through the very end of their recording projects by setting up global digital distribution for their music.

While I still work with recording artists on a regular basis, my focus has shifted a bit toward corporate photography over the past couple of years. Companies like Whole Foods, HITT Contracting, DHL, and BBI International hire me to produce media for their events and projects, and smaller businesses bring me on to help develop their brand and bolster their social media presence. Communication, punctuality, and efficiency are top priorities to me, and I think that’s why I enjoy working with businesses so much - It feels like my work is most valued when I’m challenged and pushed to be a better, faster, and more versatile photographer.

Gaki means "little punk" in Japanese, which I felt suited my business since I tend to march to the beat of my own drum. I’m a social butterfly and absolutely love meeting new people and trying new things. When I’m not behind the camera you’ll find me practicing yoga, playing music, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my husband and our two little chihuahuas. I’m currently experiencing a bit of wanderlust and am hoping for a cross-country trip or international travel, perhaps to Japan, in the near future!
